What are my rights to the work you do for me?

You can use the designs that we work on together throughout your business (as they were originally intended), but you do not have the right to claim them as your own, sell them or transfer them to another individual/business.  We do offer logo services, where you can buy the complete rights to the design, and only in this case can you alter the graphics, claim them as your own, sell them or give them to another individual/business to use.

Our website designs are yours to use, for your business, and we ask that a link to our website is included somewhere in the site (either in a footer, contact page or another location of your choosing).  If you want to change the design, graphics, or  layout of your website please let us know, and we are more than happy to remove the link to our company.  As stated above, you can not transfer the website to another individual/business without asking for permission first.  When you purchase our website designs, you are receiving a limited license allowing them to be used for the initial business they were designed for.  If you purchased a logo, or other graphics, that came with a license…then you are free to use/transfer/extend those as you please.

Whenever in doubt,  just ask.  We are available to answer any questions about what rights you have.  Thank you.

Will you use my design (website or graphic) again?

Never!  Any custom work that we do for you will never be duplicated for another individual/business.  We pride ourselves in creating unique designs that stand out, and duplicating or even making something reasonably similar is not something that we condone.  This is why we do not work with templates, or mass produce website designs that only have slight colors and design differences.  We stand by our motto “blending in isn’t an option“.

We might offer pre-made designs & logos in our Etsy shop, but again we do not duplicate them.  If you purchase a pre-made design, it is yours and will be retired from that point on.  Sometimes our listings will indicate that the exact design will not be used again, but a similar design might be created.  (i.e. We might create a tree for a pre-made logo design that a client will purchase, and another client might want a similar design at a later date.  The colors, style and general “feel” of the tree will be totally different from each other.  Neither would ever be confused as being the same design).  This is always outlined in our Etsy listings.  We never do this for any custom, or “from scratch” design that we work on together.
