MY HANDMADE FONTS ARE AVAILABLE!! CHECK 'EM OUT!

I'm Designing Fonts Again in 2020!!

Yay..finally found some time this year to work on some new fonts!  It has been over a year since I have sat down and created new designs, way too long.  I recently launched two new handwritten fonts named "Fun Jayne" and "Slim Jimmie".  They are available for sale on my website...and a new one is coming in the next week.

My Handwritten Font

Honestly, it takes me a few weeks to work on a font.  It is seriously a meticulous job going through.  After you do the creative part - creating a fun new design, you then run through a process of cleaning up each individual letter/punctuation and accented Latin character to get a font ready for sale.  I have to go through and fix curves, edges, lines...adjust kerning (spacing between letters), clean up any mistakes that occurred during the design process and so much more.  The creative and analytical process, just like website design & programming, feeds my right & left brain all at the same time.  I do love it!  I curl up with my iPad, and watch a good show...usually Doctor Who, while I run through the whole process.

Some of my "tools of the trade" are shown below, if you are interested in checking them out.  I am NOT making any money off sharing these apps with you - I just love all of them so much and want to share that with you.  I've been using them for years and swear they have sped up my process when I create fonts (Astropad works for me no matter what I am designing).

  • iFontMaker - Ipad app from the Apple App Store.
  • Glyphs - professional font creation/editing program
  • Astropad - allows me to connect my iPad to my laptop/desktop so I can work anywhere.

Check out MY FIRST video (yeah, I am a little behind the curve on those things) where I quickly show how I put together the letter "Z" in a new font I hope to be finished with in the next week.  Enjoy and I would love to hear from you about my existing designs, new fonts you might like to see & more.
